POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for providing professional and reliable service while supporting the team in achieving JEC’s key objectives with customers and suppliers. This role requires a thorough understanding of customer and supplier requirements, as well as JEC’s Business Management System (BMS) policies and processes, ensuring alignment with company standards for Safety, Morale, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Environment. The position demands adaptability, proactive communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement, with performance measured against departmental business plan targets. SUMMARY

Compiles and maintains accounts payable records by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

       •      Matches/Enters invoices to receivers in AP system accurately
• Verifies receipt, price, account and authorization against PO or cheque request
• Researches discrepancies with Production Planning, Purchasing and MRO departments
• Oversee daily mail - incoming and outgoing and printing of emailed invoices
• Reconciles accounts payable sub-ledger to general ledger
• Helps with preparation of cheque runs and wires payments
• Reconciles Suppliers Statements to accounts payable sub-ledger
• Assists with Corporate external auditors in yearend financial audit and J-SOX audit
• Other Duties may be assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Certification in accounting from a recognized college or university; or 2-3 years of related accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

The purpose of this role is to assist the die maintenance department with the total productive maintenance of all stamping dies, transfer fingers, chutes, and press bolsters. This will be done through the use of the CNC milling machine. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Program, setup and operate CNC milling machine • Follow the 5’s principal with respect to the workplace (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)

• Preventative Maintenance and repair of dies, transfer fingers, scrap chutes and fastening systems

• The ability to operate all equipment within the stamping department and provide maintenance support

• Accurate updating and preparation of die quality, design and maintenance records

• Generate Continuous Improvement ideas for process quality and better maintainability

• General Machining and Fabrication for the site

• Continuously improving process through part accuracy and stamping reliability 

• Work at a highly detailed level from engineering drawings of our products and equipment

• Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of MasterCAM 2D and 3D. Fluent in AutoCAD.

Knowledge of Solidworks, Catia and other CAD software.

Experience programming and operating CNC milling machine.

Certificate of qualification in Tool and Die or General Machining is an asset.

Practical experience in MiG, TiG, and ARC welding as well as familiarity with hand and shop tools such as drills, lathes, saws, mills etc. is an asset.

Must understand general machining and Fabrication Principles.

•Read and interpret blueprints, tooling drawings, sketches, and technical documentation.

• Participate in Design/Layout review of new tooling as well as tooling trials.

• Support production teams by investigating tooling-related issues and minimizing downtime.

• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble tooling according to engineering drawings and

specifications.

•Provide training for Production Team Leaders on any improvements that are made to the process so that they can train Production Associates on all changes

•Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, motors, fans, conveyors, and robots according to layout plans using hand and power tools

•Complete communication documentation as well as updating any documentation that needs to be changed due to an improvement or change in process; This includes CAD drawings, line

layouts, and SOP’s

•Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

•Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and hoists to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery

•Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions

•Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls

•Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts

•Operate machine tools such as lathes, drills, and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery

•Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery

•Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.

•Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components

•Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance

•Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, transformers, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems

•Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Post secondary education in Engineering or Engineering Technology desired as well as two or more years experience in PLC programming, instrumentation and controls is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Manufacturing Planner oversees production scheduling and coordination to meet customer delivery requirements while optimizing inventory and material flow. This role collaborates closely with internal teams and with Suppliers to drive efficient operations in a fast-paced automotive environment.

This position will be on a bi-weekly rotation of days and afternoons.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build and manage production schedules to meet customer demand while aligning with capacity and material availability 
• Partner with Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Logistics to prioritize orders and maintain smooth, on-time delivery performance 
• Translate production plans into material and component requirements, supporting accurate and efficient planning 
• Develop and communicate supplier forecasts based on lead times and demand signals 
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and coordinate inbound logistics to ensure uninterrupted production flow 
• Proactively address scheduling challenges, including material shortages, supplier delays, and changing customer requirements 
• Issue and manage purchase orders to support production needs and maintain material availability 
• Manage inventory levels to support operations while reducing excess and obsolete stock 
• Communicate risks, shortages, and potential delays in a timely and clear manner to key stakeholders 
• Maintain accurate system data within the ERP, including BOMs and routings for all parts 
• Validate incoming materials against purchase orders and shipping documentation 
• Conduct cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods to ensure inventory accuracy 
• Coordinate shipping logistics and documentation for non-OEM customer orders 
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and support additional operational initiatives as needed

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or similar (or equivalent experience) 
• At least 2 years of experience with planning or scheduling in a manufacturing environment 
• Good communication skills and ability to work with different teams 
• Experience working in high-volume, JIT production environments 
• Comfortable using MRP/ERP systems (PLEX experience is a bonus)
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail 
• Understanding of scheduling, inventory, and supplier coordination 
• Ability to read and work with BOMs, routings, and production data 
• Comfortable using Excel and standard business tools

SUMMARY

Oversees the Set up and operation of the press to trim, punch, shape, notch, draw, or crimp metal, composite by performing the following duties.

• Supports stamping team within stamping department with their responsibilities

• Assists with mechanical break-downs to ensure continual operation is maintained

• Ongoing training of Stamping Production Associates

• Perform data entry assignments for stamping department

• Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications

• Report equipment efficiency at daily production meeting

• Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction

• Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly oversees associates in the Stamping Department. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; assist with rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent/relevant experience; and one to three months related experience.

SUMMARY

Weld Technical Team Leaders are responsible for setting up equipment, installing and repairing machinery, training new Weld Technical Associates, and maintaining all production equipment and facility systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with Technical Associates and ensure all PM's are done and closed by scheduled date

• Work with the Technical Coordinator to ensure PMs are completed and covered in the event there are gaps in staffing

• Completion of assigned DM activity that may include modifying processes, custom fabrications, testing and evaluating current and new processes for improvements, PLC programming, Robot programming, HMI programming, and root cause analyzes of downtime issues

• Review all DM’s for Weld Technical Associates on shift making sure all milestones are met and task is on schedule

• Training of all new hire Weld Technical Associates on departmental workings which includes but is not limited to documentation, PM/DM system, machine process, PLC programming, Robot programming, HMI programming, basic trouble shooting, weld process, and shift schedule

• Tip validation for all weld tips plant wide - every shift

• Support completion of New Model Validation Sheets for all new line installations plant wide to ensure that all JEC standards are being met

• Complete communication documentation as well as updating any documentation that need to be change due to an improvement in process. This includes CAD drawings, line layouts, and SOP’s

• Provide training for Production Team Leaders on any improvements that are made to the process so that they can train Production Associates on all changes

• Interprets company policies to associates and enforces safety regulations

Directly oversees associates in the Weld Technical Department. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; assigning, and directing work; and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Post-secondary education in Engineering or Engineering Technology desired as well as two or more years of experience in PLC programming, instrumentation and controls is required or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the associate group.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  The essential job duties for a Stamping Production Associate include setting up and operating stamping machines to trim, punch, shape, notch, draw, or crimp metal composite. As a Stamping Associate you will work both independently and as part of a team.

This is a very unique and popular program where associates in the program have the flexibility of choosing shifts through an app in real time. Available Shifts will be communicated to our flexible workforce regularly for each week. The expectation would be to working up to 32 hours per week with at least once per month of the available shifts. Available shifts to choose from may vary from week to week depending on staffing needs. The available shifts for our flexible workforce to choose from will range from 4 - 10 hours in length: Weekdays - Day , Afternoon or Midnight Shift Weekend - Day Shift or Sunday Nights.

Qualifications and Skills:

Forklift experience is preferred. Training is provided on site.
